In our system there is not possible to change a cost center in an asset master record. The field is only visible - even in case of creation a new time interval. For example field business area is ordinary changable. It seems to have a connection with activation of the newGL after upgrade. thank you for a help

using the transaction AS02, you are able recognise in marking the not changeable field, and go over Extra to choose the Group box info.

There you will see, why the field is not changeable. In the majority of cases the reason is the customizing:

Financial Accounting (New) => Asset Accounting => Integration with the General Ledger => Additional Account Assignment
Objects => Activate Account Assignment Objects => execute =>

Used in Balance Sheet

Specifies if the account assignment object is relevant to the balance sheet. Once the asset has been capitalized, it is no longer possible to change the account assignment object in the asset master record

If the problem is solved, I kindly ask you to confirm this message; otherwise please send the message back to SAP.
