Scope of document

This document has been made for Basis Practitioner, who wants to configure SAP Solution Manager for SAP Products. They can use this document to configure System Landscape, System Monitoring, System Administration, Central Auto Reaction, Maintenance Optimizer, Solution Directory, Service Data Control Center, SAP Early Watch, Service Level Reporting, Service Desk and Change Request Management.
 
SAP Solution Manager 4.0 SP9 is used for all the configuration details.

 
Overview of document
 
This document is divided into different section. Each section deals with one component of SAP Solution Manager. The definition, prerequisites and configuration details are provided for each component of SAP Solution Manager. 
 
Section 3 deals with System Landscape Maintenance, where both Manual as well as Automatic Data Capture configuration procedure details given. The logical component configuration is also included into this section.
 
Section 4 deals with Solution. In this section how to create new solution and solution directory configuration are given.
 
Section 5 deals with Solution Monitoring. In this section different feature of solution monitoring and overview is given. Service Data Control Center configuration, Different task in SDCCN and their details are given in this section. SAP Early Watch Setting, Service Level Reporting, System Monitoring, System Administration, Business Process Monitoring and Central Auto Reaction’s with detailed configuration steps.
 
Section 6 deals with Change Management. In this section Maintenance Optimizer and Change Request Management configuration details are given.

Section 7 deals with Service desk. In this section service desk setup procedure and usages steps are given.
